★ Who Is Steely Pate? ★

Steely Pate is a travelling armorer and smith who appears in George R.R. Martin's beloved "Dunk and Egg" novellas, collected as "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms." He's also featured in the HBO television adaptation of the same name.

Pate earned his nickname "Steely" because of his skill working with steel. He travels the roads of Westeros, offering his services to hedge knights and anyone else who needs quality metalwork. He's the kind of guy who can fix your armor, shoe your horse, and tell you the latest gossip from three kingdoms over.

He crosses paths with Ser Duncan the Tall (Dunk) and provides him with crucial armor work. In a world of scheming lords and backstabbing politicians, Steely Pate is just an honest craftsman trying to make a living on the road. And that's why we love him.
